Wicked Diving is proud to present one of the most famous dive sites in the world – Komodo National Park, a protected UNESCO World Heritage site. Komodo National Park features some of the most exotic and diverse environments on earth, from the famous Komodo Dragons roaming the beaches, 150+ species of birds, buffalo, monkeys, pigs.
But the real reason we dive here are the hundreds of species of fish and corals and the vast pristine reefs underwater – guests on our Komodo Liveaboard may experience passing pelagics like manta rays and sharks, amazing critters and a rich diversity of marine life. There are nice long surface intervals in between the dives. So when you are not diving or eating, feel free to relax, join a beach trip or do a bit of snorkeling in the calm bays. Please check out the Schedule for more information about dates
Our Komodo Liveaboard trips offer an intense 7 Days/6 Night or a 4 Day/3 night exploration of incredible diving.
But wait – if you think the trip is too expensive – we also offer a Flexible Komodo Liveaboard. This boat stays in the park so you can join the trip any day and stay as long as you want! Perfect for those on tight schedules or those unsure if they want to commit to more than 2 days/1 night
Hold On!!! You can also join our Komodo day trips if you prefer to stay on land! With daily departures on our two different boats, we can offer a wide range of sites and opportunities for adventure.
The Jaya will be your home during these trips. This is a Phinisi sailing schooner, hand-crafted from local hardwoods like Teak and Ironwood. With her 6 jaunty sails, you cut across the remote seas in style and grace. Still, we also have satellite phone, International and local radios, life rafts, life jackets and a crew trained in emergency procedures. If you would like to read more about the Jaya…check out her page.
We try to assure the comfort of all our guests equally. If you have dietary restrictions – we must be notified of this before your arrival. Due to the remote location and nature of the trips – we can not guarantee that they can be met. In many cases we are happy to prepare meals and food stuffs that are brought on the boat and we recommend purchasing these in Bali or the in locations with a far larger selection of food stuffs
Due to our remoteness, the activities we undertake and, most importantly, the well-being of our guests – we have strict policies regarding health and safety on our liveaboards. If someone suffers from severe allergies or conditions – we must strongly urge you to re-consider your options for joining these trips. The medical facilities are minimal and evacuation to the nearest major hospital (Bali) can take 12-24 hours in good conditions. Please learn more about these
At some of the Komodo dive sites, the currents can be challenging, the water can vary from warm to quite cool and even the waves and surface currents can make these dive sites seem daunting. Our very experienced guides choose dive sites, times and even locations to make sure each dive is safe and suitable. And with more than 100 dive sites, it’s never a bother to move on to the next one!
We do mandate that every guests have recent diving experience (less than 1 year ago) before joining the Komodo Liveaboards. If not, we will require a “scuba tune-up” or refresher…believe us, the trip will be soooo much m roe fun! Did you know you can easily do an Advanced Course while on the trip?
