We are super proud to say that our has evolved. (The old description is below). We have heard your requests and created a whole new concept for Komodo. The first hop-on hop-off liveaboard. Meaning we have flexible start dates and end dates…and you can choose how long you stay on the boat. Book for one night – but stay for 10 nights if you like it!!!

Our Budget Komodo Liveaboard was built for one reason – affordable diving and snorkeling tours in Komodo National Park! Our unique fun boat is the only liveaboard boat specifically catering to travellers or those of you on a budget, offers lots of good diving, good food & good company at a very affordable price. since we were going to make great trips at great prices, we also decided to keep the group numbers down only 12 guests per trip and no more than 4 divers per guide! Safety, service and affordable!

We did not spend money on luxuries or fancy amenities, we kept the liveaboard as simple so we an focus on what really matters – great service, marine life and the incredible scenery of Komodo National Park – a UNESCO World Heritage site. When you experience the Manta Rays at Makassar Reef or a school of Bumphead Parrotfish at Tatawa Kecil, you won’t miss that in-cabin flatscreen TV ?

However – somethings aren’t overlooked! Safety is the first priority. Well-trained staff and crew, radio, life jackets and life raft. This boat offers more than just safety, we have one of the best cooks in the area so meals are always a treat. Whether you are a beginning diver seeking that extra guidance or an experienced diver wanting some challenges – we are happy to accommodate.

Before or after your diving – you should also consider one of our Komodo Kayak Tours…an amazing opportunity to see and experience the park in a completely different way.

About the Boat

There is one large cabin for sleeping and quiet time with individual beds for 6 people where we have fans and privacy curtains for each bed, in addition to the nearly ever-present sea breezes. Should you prefer, there is room on the upper deck to layout mattresses and sleep “al Fresco”. With no light pollution and incredible scenery the boat runs silent at night – no annoying generator.

The food is prepared fresh for each meal by the cook and offers up a mix of Indonesian and Western treats. The crew is always looking to make the trip more fun – so will always be making sure you have plenty to eat, can safely enter the water and have a smile on your face – you might even get an impromptu acoustic session on the guitar!

Safety and Medical Info

While this is by no means a luxury boat – we have not skimped on safety! In addition to the radio, phones and life jackets – she also has a large life raft (which is not common in Indonesia!!!). More important are the trained crew and staff who know the waters of Komodo, know the boat and can deal with any matters that arise.

If you have any health problems, are on any form of medication or have had any illness, injury or operation that you think may affect you whilst diving, please let the staff of Wicked Diving know in advance. If you are allergic to any form of medication, please state this clearly on the Registration Form.

Anyone requiring vegetarian food or with any food allergies should advise us before the Komodo Liveaboard trip. Should you have any restrictions or requirements and not inform Wicked Diving previous to your trip departures, it may be difficult or impossible to meet such demands.

We can respect dietary requirements to a certain extent. Please understand we are in a more remote part of Indonesia and  can not always get special supplies, we are happy when we get all the food and drinks that we request, let alone special requests.

The cook and staff will try their utmost to respect these requests (gluten free and vegan for example) , but due to the remote location and nature of the trips – we can not guarantee that they can be met. In many cases we are happy to prepare meals and food stuffs that are brought on the boat and we recommend purchasing these in Bali or the in locations with a far larger selection of products than what we can get in Labuan Bajo.

If someone suffers from severe allergies or conditions – we must strongly urge you to consider your options for joining these trips. The medical facilities are minimal and evacuation to the nearest major hospital (Bali) can take 12-24 hours in good conditions.

Prerequisites/Experience Required

These trips are open to all skill levels. Though, being a backpacker priced trip, we hope that all guests are comfortable about living, diving and sailing in compact quarters.
