Beach time, diving time – paradise

A standard Open Water Diver course takes 4 days. You can save yourself almost two days of your valuable vacation by doing the theory and swimming pool exercises with a local dive school in your area. You will learn all the basic knowledge that comes with Scuba Diving by studying your manual, watching DVD’s and with lectures by your instructor. The confined water exercises are done in a swimming pool and allow you to get comfortable under water in calm and easy conditions. Once that is done, your instructor will sign you off for this part of the course. Simply bring your paperwork to us and you can continue your course doing the 4 required training dives with one of our experienced instructors. During the training dives we will repeat a few of the pool exercises, but most of the time you will be over the colorful reefs of. No short dives in cold, murky, empty waters but relaxed and long dives surrounded by hundreds of species of fish in the crystal clear and warm seas.

There is no time pressure to pass the course – we’d rather you enjoyed your new sport than simply rush you through, so we’re happy to spend any extra time necessary making sure all students are comfortable in this new environment. At Wicked we are not prepared to put anyone at risk by cutting corners to provide so called “cheap” diver training. We do it right.

On our liveaboards – day one we depart and make the first two training dives at some easy and calm dive sites. The next day we finish your course with dive 3 & 4 but since there are several  more dives scheduled, we just continue diving. With a bit of luck you might even see some sharks, a turtle or even a manta ray gliding by. You will notice that with every dive you will get more comfortable and at the end of the trip you will leave the boat as quite an experienced diver. The trip also allows you to fully enjoy the beauty of these tropical islands. Watch for dolphins on the way out, do some snorkeling in between the dives, make a beach trip or just read a book in the hammock. And get to know our friendly staff and guests on the boat a bit better.
