In a matter of a few weeks you can become a professional Scuba instructor too!

If you are already a Dive Master, you can become an SSI instructor in only 14 days. Our course includes all materials, training, Instructor Exam and fees. Throughout Thailand and SE Asia there are more positions available than SSI instructors, jobs are waiting for you! Freelance work is prioritized to graduates of the Wicked Diving Instructor Training Course.

 

Dive Instructor Course – What’s Involved?

The Instructor Training Course (ITC) will prepare you pass a 2 day Instructor Examination conducted right here in Khao Lak, Thailand. Compared to other diving agencies, SSI evaluates to a much higher standards – requiring a passing score of at least 90% in the 100 question, multiple choice, final exam, a 30 minute academic presentation, a full rescue assessment including Oxygen administration and CPR, a swim test, then on-the-spot open water and pool presentations over 2 full days. Not only is the course and testing more thorough, it is also more rewarding you in your future career!

At Wicked Diving we are so confident in our training that we offer a guaranteed pass or we cover the costs if you need to be re-evaluated at a later date.

After the Instructor Training Course you will be an Open Water Instructor, and certified to teach the Open Water Course, Junior Open Water Diver, Indoor Diver, Scuba Diver, Scuba Skills Update, Try Scuba, and Advanced Adventurer. This means you travels can begin!

How long does it take?

These thorough courses last for 14 days.

Prerequisites/Experience Required

  • Be at least 18yrs old
  • Have a Total Diving System of professional type and quality
  • Have a current medical exam for scuba diving not older than 1 year and signed by a licensed medical practitioner
  • Be certified as a Dive Control Specialist or equivalent (AI)
  • Logged at least 100 open water dives
  • Provide and maintain certification of current training in First Aid, CPR and O2 administration
