The SY Jaya

The Jaya is the Expedition vessel – currently serving Eastern Indonesia: Komodo, Raja Ampat and long range expeditions. She is only 14 years old, but has sailed the seas the whole time. From surfing safaris along the West coast of remote Sumatra to the Mergui Archipelago of Myanmar all the way to Eastern Indonesia of Papua. She is very strong, capable and designed to explore the world around us.

Designed from the keel up as a sailing schooner using traditional methods that have served the Bugis people of South Sulawesi for centuries. This is all done by hand over the course of 18 months.

Our Indonesian Liveaboard – Th SY Jaya in Raja Ampat

Slow pace of life on our Indonesian Liveaboard

The Upper deck has plenty of shaded space for lounging, napping, eating or just enjoying the world as it quietly passes by. There is also a large area for the sun-worshippers.

The main deck is designed to accommodate both diving groups and surfing safaris – plenty of room! The open and airy Galley features one large table to accommodate all our guests in the family atmosphere that makes Wicked Adventures so special. Below decks are 6 cabins taking 14 guests.

Small groups and more than diving

Rather than pack on dozens of divers – we always keep things small! With only 14 guests, we can cater to your needs…as well as reduce our impact on dive sites. No crowds in the water here!

We make plenty of time for non-diving activities, ranging from site-seeing on the Islands to Beach and reef clean-ups. We’ve even been known to break out the BBQ and enjoy a sunset on the beach!

Quietest boat in region

As a part of our natural profile she is designed to run as a silent ship at night, natural ventilation and 24v fans keeping you cool while sleeping.

One part of the trip you will remember forever is to fall asleep and wake up to the sounds of the water against the hull, not the sound of the diesel generator or noisy AC unit.
