Melarikan diri dari kehidupan
Dijaman ini hampir segala kegiatan manusia bergantung pada kecanggihan teknologi, segala kebutuhan manusia bisa tersedia melalui “online service”. Butuh baju keren, anak milenieal sekarang tinggal klik “Zalora” disitu terdapat segala macam pakaian pria wanita baik yang eklusif maupun casual, butuh handphone baru atau gitar baru ada “shopee” yang bisa menjawab. Niatnya ingin reuni dengan teman-teman SMA, begitu kumpul bareng semua sibuk selfi, foto makanan, lalu upload di sosmed. Tidak terkecuali, sayapun begitu. Berada di lingkungan yang serba ada ternyata menyisakan jarak antar sesama bahkan diri sendiri.
Jarang dikunjungi
Setelah hampir setahun saya bekerja di Labuan Bajo, dengan pekerjaan yang tidak selalu menetap, saya sudah bekerja di enam perusahaan dalam setahun itu, dan akhirnya saya dibawa kepada perusahaan impian saya sejak kuliah “WICKED”. Dua bulan pertama saya bekerja di bagian accounting, melakukan banyak kesalahan sampai saya ingin menyerah dan mencari pekerjaan lain. Itulah mengapa saya sangat senang bekerja dengan perusahaan milik Amerika, mereka percaya kalau setiap manusia punya kelebihan,kalau tidak cocok di bagian accounting yah, mungkin cocok di bagian lain. Dan ini saat saya diberi kesempatan untuk bertemu dan bekerja di Pante Hera.
Pante Hera adalah sebuah lokasi wisata Pantai dengan pasir yang halus, juga terdapat habitat Penyu
Manggarai Barat. Di Pante Hera ini juga terdapat kehidupan masyarakat dengan jumlah penduduk 48 kepala keluarga atau sekitaran 200 jiwa, bertani, beternak dan menenun adalah mata pencarian utama masyarakat disana. Bekerja dilokasi ini rasanya tidak seperti bekerja, tapi berlibur dan menemukan pengalaman baru, bertemu orang-orang sederhana dan hal-hal lain yang membuat kita mesti mensyukuri hidup ini.
Sensasi tidur dengan suara deburan ombak, dibawah sinar bulan purnama dan bintang-bintang, masak sambil nongkrong di depan tungku api, tidak ada jaringan internet sehingga kebutuhan untuk di dengar dan mendengarkan bisa kita temukan di tempat ini. Bukan cuma itu, menyaksikan anak-anak pulang sekolah jalan kaki, mencari kayu bakar untuk Ibu dan mengembala kambing. Membaca hampir 4 buku sampai selesai dengan ketebalan rata-rata 200 halaman, melatih konsentrasi, meditasi, mendengar dan menyimak lirik-lirik lagu Iwan Fals, melihat anak-anak membuat mainan sendiri dari sampah bekas dan kayu bambu, belajar bahasa inggris bersama anak-anak, mengenang masa-masa era 90-an yang hampir sama dengan suasana Pante Hera saat ini. Dari situ saya berpikir mungkinkah ini pekerjaan yang saya cari, disini bukan hanya sekedar cinta yang saya dapat tapi saya benar-benar merasa “PULANG” menepi dan meniti jalan kembali kedalam diri.

Escaping life
Today, almost all human activities depend on technological sophistication; all human needs can be obtained through “online service”. Need cool clothes, millennial kids now just click “Zalora” there are all kinds of men’s and woman’s clothing both exclusive and casual, need a new phone or new guitar there is “Shopee” who can answer it. Want to reunion with high school friends, when gathered together everyone is busy with their cellphone, wether it’s a selfie photo, food photo and the upload to all social media respectively. No exception, so am I. Being in all-round environment it turns out that there is distance between each other even yourself.
Off the beaten path
After almost a year I worked in Labuan Bajo, with jobs that didn’t always stay, I had already joined almost six companies in that year, and finally I was brought to my dream company since I am in college called “WICKED DIVING”. The first two months I worked in the accounting department, made a lot of mistakes and almost wanted to give up or look for another suitable job. That’s why I am very happy to work with Wicked Diving, they believe that every human being has advantages, if not suitable in one part you might be suitable in the other. And this is when I get the opportunity to get to know and work at Pante Hera.
Pante Hera is a Beach with fine sand, also has Turtle habitat, located in West Manggarai Regency. In Pante Hera, there are also people’s lives with a population of 48 heads of families or around 200 people. Farming, raising and weaving are the main livelihoods of the people there. Work in this place it’s not like a working, but rather on vacation, finding new experiences, meeting simple people. And also other things that make us always grateful for the life we have.The sensation of sleeping with the sound of the waves, under the full moon and starslight, cook while joking out in front of the fire stove, there is no internet network so the need to be heard and listened, you can find in this place. Not only that, watching children come home from school on foot, looking for firewood for their mothers at home while grazing goats. Reading almost 4 books to completion with an average thickness of 200 pages, practicing concentration, meditation, and listening to Iwan Fals song lyrics, seeing children making their own toys from used trash and bamboo wood, learning English with the children, reminded me of the 90’s era when I was little, which is almost the same as the atmosphere of Pante Hera at this time. From there I thought, could this be the job I was looking for?Here is not just love that I get, But I really feel that I am “HOME” to pull over and find my way back to “ME”.
Turtle camp conservation center
Although still isolated (and not yet well known by the public) Pante Hera has a lot of natural beauty. Among them is place to enjoy the sunrise, sunset, and hot spring which is close to the beach, two of peninsula that show off the beauty of the cliffs, and the most important thing is one of the beaches that has many turle. Pante Hera as one of the conservation sites makes this place more attractive. As one of tour operators in Labuan Bajo, Wicked Diving builds a homestay here to support the region. This began to be calculated one of the tourist destinations as the Turtle Camp Conservation Center.
Community Project
As a conservation place, Turtle Camp Homestay invite people to participate in preserving these animals. One of them is Community Project initiated by Wicked Diving. Local guides are provided with knowledge about the conservation. Here, children are being trained to go directly to the community to practice it. Among them is dealing with the problem of waste that is disposed in the sea, and it’s impacted on the life of marine biodiversity. Beside community project, we also support the community to maintain their traditions alive.
Pante Hera is truly luxurious for us who want peace. It’s far from the crowds, all that is the sound of the waves, and chirping of the birds around which makes this place even more enchanting.
