Wicked Diving – An Ethical Dive Center
Wicked Diving is not your ordinary dive center. We fiercely believe in making a positive impact on our local ecosystems and communities. This is undertaken in several forms, from the ecologically friendly products used on our boats and shop to the internships we undertake with local projects and much more. We were the first dive center in Thailand to have a responsible tourism policy in place and continue to pioneer socially responsible action in the industry.
We take active part in both the local community and the marine environment of the Similan Islands. With Educational Programs for Local schools, ecologically friendly products on our boats and special educational Similan dive tours throughout the year you’ll find that we do more than just dive! Aqua Lung And Wicked Diving
Selected as one of the very few Partner Centers by Aqua Lung in Thailand – we are very proud of our equipment. Using the incredibly trustworthy Aqua Lung Calypso Regulators and Seaquest BCD’s. Known for their reliability and ease of use, you will find our gear in all sizes and shapes! All service records are available and our equipment is serviced before anything goes wrong.
In addition we also have a small but very busy retail department that has a variety of products to help improve your Similan diving. From fins to masks and everything in between. Ask us about the special bargains each month! Your Similan Dive Center – more than just boats!
Komodo Expeditions and Adventures
While our headquarters are in Thailand – Wicked Diving also operates a dive center in Labuan Bajo, Indonesia. Never heard of it? This is the main departure point for the Komodo National Park and some of the best diving in the world! We offer Daytrips, 3 and 6 day liveaboards – but also some incredible expeditions such as our unique 10 Day trips to The Gilis, Sulawesi, 3 week trip from Raja Ampat to Gili as well as 6 day trips in Raja Ampat!!! These are trips for those seeking luxury – there are real expeditions to sites unexplored, islands un named and places uninhabited!
Dive the Similan Islands in comfort and Safety
We are not an agency – Wicked Diving operate our Similan liveaboards, personally guiding the dives and assuring you of the personal touch. From the moment you contact us, until long after you leave – you are dealing with us! We are fanatics for the marine life here, whether the Manta Rays or the Nudibranchs – we will show you the treats of the Similan Islands. Departures from our Khao Lak Diving Center Every Friday and Tuesday.
We don’t do “beach clean-up days”. Every day is beach clean-up for us. We always maintain a “no impact” dive ethic, trying to observe and preserve our dive sites for all future Similan scuba divers. You will never see gloves on our divers, fish-feeding is also discouraged and we even have safety equipment of European Standards. Finally – we are not into the “macho” diving thing – we like fish and would rather spend a longer time underwater than go deeper. This is about the experience. This is about your experience!
More than Diving…
Wicked Diving offers much more then dives on the Similan Islands. Our Surin Snorkeling Tours are famous for the attention and knowledge that we share. With overnight bicycle tours, trekking, golfing, snorkeling, kayaking all within a few minutes of our dive centre. Heck – we often take our guests for excursions ourselves. If you need a ride to the airport – we do it! Don’t just dive with us – experience Khao Lak! Stay for a few weeks and see how things are…maybe just disappear into a hammock for a while…
Safety
We are fanatics for safety. With a Dive Medic on the team and the entire staff fully trained in all DAN courses – we take your safety very, very seriously. We have been quite active in the setting up and operating of the Similan Diving evacuation center (we volunteer our time there) as well as creating the evacuation protocols here and on the Similan Islands.
