Gae joined the Wicked Thailand team in 2010 after seeral years on Koh Tao. Discovering the great marine life and a warm reception from Wicked – she has settled down and taken up a key member of “Tuk’s Angels.” With a passion for small critters, Gae likes shariing these special finds wiht hur guests and students.  We are all very happy to have her rejoin Wicked Diving, Thailand for the 2011-2012 season!

How long have you been diving?

Since 2003.

What got you started?

A friend arranged some holidays over Thai New Year 2003. I actually did not have a clue what we were going to do. Ended up diving…

Where did you do your Open Water course? Who was your instructor?

That happened on Koh Tao with a guy called Dui.

Why the Similan Islands and Khao Lak? What brought you here?

After I could not get away from Koh Tao for 7 years where I worked as a Divemaster/ Instrutor I started looking for something new. When K asked me to work for Wicked Diving I did not have to think long.

What’s your favourite divesite in the Similans? Why?

North Point Pinnacle because if you jump in the water you only see blue and only when you decend you start getting a picture of this huge formation with its beautiful seafans. And to the north it goes on and on. I wish I could stay longer…

Favourite fish?

Nudibranchs aren’t fish.

Favourite music at the moment?

Tuk’s ipod.

Hammock or Lounge Chair? Why?

Lounge chair, the swinging in a hammock makes me sick.

Favourite food?

Spicy Thai food and pizza!

Item or equipment you must have on every dive? Lucky charm maybe?

My bell. I just have it for such a long time.

Most memorable dive trip?

It is very hard to decide, I just feel happy being on a dive trip. But if I have to give an answer: probably a sunrise dive on Koh Tao when a bull shark almost ate my boy friend (it got really close). That was awesome! 🙂

Other interests, activities, hobbies or addictions?

Movie series, being lazy, traveling, I would love to sky dive!!!
