Where?
Aside from the vast selection of marine life we see daily on the reefs, we hope to experience Green Sea Turtles and Hawksbill Turtles. While Leatherbacks do nest in the area – we rarely see them on the reefs. (some extra information about turtles…) The dives will take place Around the Similan Islands. If we gain permission from the Park – there is also a Turtle hatchery on Similan Islands #1, however this is generally off-limits, so we will let you know if we get permission! Just a few of the reefs we will visit:
East of Eden (Similan island #7): On the East side of island #7 you find one of the most beautiful reef dives in Thailand. This is many divers favourite and we have to agree… It’s like you are in an aquarium. No Southern Similan Liveaboard is complete without a visit! Aside from the gorgeous reef, there are frequently turtles here. There are so many fish everywhere and the corals are very healthy. You can find giant seafans in the deeper parts and colorful soft corals in the shallows. (more similan dive site descriptions)
Breakfast Bend (Similan Island #9): This beautiful Reef dive around the northern most of the Similan islands. From our Liveaboard we often experince leopard sharks, turtles and maybe the elusive shovelnose ray. The scenery is spectacular, and we are usually fortunate enough to have a current that takes us drifitng along this reef.
Wicked Diving offers a unique opportunity to benefit the local community, improve the world around us and have a great diving vacation! We use 2% of all income to support local projects that support the local community, marine research or marine conservation (or all three!). When you dive with Wicked, you make a difference. Please read up on our various projects, and policies on the Ethical Diving page. Did you know the eggs on your trip will be from free-range, organically fed chickens? And the Honey and Jam will be from the Baan San Fan Orphanage?

There is always a divesite briefing given before every dive. Plenty of meals are served each day in between the dives and we have a minimum surface interval of 2 hours in between the dives. The choice of divesites and jump-in times always depend on the weather, surface and underwater conditions and the experience level of you – our divers!
