Wicked Tech Trydive – 1 day / 2 dives
Technical diving is becoming extremely popular. It allows divers to go beyond the recreational diving limits and opens up a world of its own. But it is not just a matter of going a bit deeper or staying a bit longer. It can involve more complex dive planning, the use of several gas mixes, multiple cylinders and a completely different equipment configuration. In order to make safe dives you need to stay exactly to theplanned depths and times and there is no room for error.
The Tech Trydive is strictly an introduction to Technical diving and doesn’t involve decompression diving or the use of different mixes. We will give a brief explanation on topics like gas blending, nitrogen narcosis and oxygen toxicity, equipment setup, stage decompression and the use of different gas mixes. During the dives you will carry a twinset (two 80Cuft cylinders) with a harness system and an extra stage cylinder on the side. Although it’s heavy on land, you will notice that once you are down it is actually very comfortable. We will do a few basic skills like SMB deployment and bouyancy exercices.
