Similan Liveaboard Open Water Course - 5 days / 9-11 dives

Our instructors are very experienced and they will teach you all your Open Water Diver course in a relaxed, safe and fun 5 day course. You will learn all the necessary theory and waterskills to become a confident diver during the course. After completion of the course you will receive the Open Water Diver certification, which is recognized throughout the world and allows you to make great dives anywhere in the world. dive-similan-islands-divers The first two days of the course are spend in Khao Lak. On day one we will do theory and the swimming pool excercises to get you comfortable with the gear and breathing under water. On the second day we will finish your theory and if you can't wait to go diving, you can choose to upgrade your course by adding two training dives on the second day by longtail on our local reef. This means that you only have two training dives left by the time you go on the liveaboard and will make a total of 11 dives.

On day three we leave with the boat for 3 days to the Similan Islands. We have a total of 9 dives on the schedule and in between the dives there is plenty of time to relax, enjoy our great food and even make a beachtrip on the islands. After completion of the course, you will become certified as an internationally recognized Open Water Diver. But since you are already on our liveaboard, we just continue diving and you will notice that these extra dives really help to increase your confidence and experience. You can start the course every Monday & Thursday: 2 days academics and pool + 3 days with open water training dives and 5 additional fundives on the our Similans Liveaboard!

What's next?

Well, after you have finished your course, you probably want to spend the rest of your holiday underwater in the Similans. Theory is done, all skills are completed, so time to go fundiving. You will notice that there is still a lot to learn and much much more to see down there so every dive you make will add on to your experience. Or you might even consider going for the Advanced course, an easy practical course (no DVD's and exam!) in which we go a bit deeper and get you even more comfortable by doing an extra 6 dives. It's your holiday, you decide....
