Phu Khao Lak – Khao Lak’s best Bargain

Some pictures and details from our closest resort, Phu Khao Lak it’s just 100 Meters away.

This is where I have stayed when looking for a place of my own. The budget bungalows are simple and clean. Lots of space, but fan only and cold water showers.

While not spoiled in amenities, there is a whole helping of serenity and natural settings.

Laid out in a coconut grove, there is plenty of space to be quiet. The scenery is gorgeous and very serene. This is definitely a refuge.

This year, they built new bungalows. These are much nicer and feature many of the amenities one would expect. While TV’s are not there, there is a small refrigerator, hot water, plenty of room, security boxes and some very nice design touches.

With large windows to take in the garden like settings and a very airy feeling it is perfect for the Khao Lak area.

They also have a really nice swimming pool. Not huge, but very nice for a soak and nap. The whole resort is designed for chilling out rather than activities.

And the Restaurant has some really great dishes. In addition a couple of laptops and wireless is available – but why bother? You’ll be on vacation.

This isn’t just some plug either – this is where we stay, we eat lunch here twice a week and the family that runs it is very nice.
